Chess tournaments in Paris and the petite couronne 29

Parisian tournaments come in two shapes. Inside the city, numbered rapid and blitz series run week after week: the Interchess tournaments and the Rapide FIDE du Canal, the rapids of Club 608 in the 15th, the Sunday rapids of the Blitz Society bar in the 6th, and club events such as the Open Rapide Schlak, the Tournoi du Petit Pouchet and the women's tournament and festival of Tour Blanche. Each counts for the FIDE rating list.

In the suburbs the tournament is usually a yearly event of the local club: the Open de l'Ascension in Issy-les-Moulineaux, the Open international de Malakoff, the Festival international d'échecs de Clichy, the Mémorial Eugène Pommier in Sceaux, the tournament of Champignol in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés, the Coupe Izikian in Livry-Gargan and tournaments in Montreuil, Le Perreux and Créteil. The list is grouped by the month of the newest dated edition.
